I have a 2006 coupe and I replaced both sensors and the slip and VDC lights are still on... Idk what to do now. Any suggestions?

OBD2 scanner to see what the problem is.

I just replaced the passenger sensor and the CEL will stay on until you reset it. Idk if driving some miles will reset itself

I had the same problem with an 05 sedan and the problem was the clockspring (spiral cable) under the driver's airbag. Do NOT use one of the aftermarket clocksprings, they aren't made correctly. Does have to be reset at dealer unless you're lucky, I wasn't.

Youre better off buying the NDS2 computer software instead of paying the dealer for what they consider an hour of labor

Probably should have but I needed it done in a hurry and they flipped it in a day. Even loaned me a new Q50 to drive while they had it and charged, altogether,
$284 and that included installation, re-calibrate and the part so I'm good with it.

The biggest reason for the recalibration is not getting the new cable into the EXACT same position as the existing one. Make a couple match marks on the new one, get it exactly centered, make match marks on the existing one, find out how much it drifted clockwise/counterclockwise and set the new one at the exact same position.

I did that with the aftermarket clockspring I bought and could not get it in the correct position, something about a notch in it not being cut deep enough. It was like $38 so you couldn't expect much. The dealership had it and figured out what was wrong and felt sorry for me somewhat I guess. There are a lot of things that go through that part and I should've known better.

I had mine pretty dead centered and still got the light. The clock spring had marks on it to line up. If its off by 1 degree it will throw the light

Does anyone have a link to the best place for the Nissan DataScan II software and cable? Interested in getting this for diagnostics.
