airbag issues

Airbag light keeps flashing. Reset it, clear the codes. It comes back on the next start up or it comes back in a few days. Scan tool does not show a current airbag code, but the code history shows B1134 aka side airbag module left hand(open).

I double checked all the connectors under the seat. Any ideas before I start replacing things or having to pay a shop to replace anything?

That code is for the one in the steering wheel. Do you have intermittent issues with the other steering wheel control buttons? If so it's probably just a failing spiral cable/clock spring.

No all the steering wheel controls work. This has me stumped, I might have to break down and take it to a dealer

had a similar issue mine included the horn not working along with the airbag code, Dealer service shop identified it as a bad wiring harness ... local shop that specialized in honda/Toyota/Nissan instantly identified it as a faulty clock spring and fixed the issue.
