Sold My 04 Coupe After 2mos. Was Not Impressed!
I just wanted to put in my 2 cents:
1.) Seats: The seat are supposed to be very narrow and hug your body, they are designed after racing seats, I'm sure most G owners notice that the passenger side is completely different from the drivers side. The first thing I fell in love with is the way the drivers seat hugged your body. This is def. not a car for a larger person.
2.) I wouldn't say that the interior is cheap, the leather compared to my BMW 330ci Sport was vastly superior, and not only that, the interior doesn't fall apart as my Beemer did. I had to have the weather stripping in my BMW replaced 6 times in one year because the epoxy from the factory wasn't any good (this is a major problem on the 3 series coupes). The interior is not that flashy, I'd say its very nice and smooth, exactly what I'd expect in a sports car.
3.) Love the car from all angles, can't say that about a 745i (What's up with the whale butt?)
4.) The G35 Coupe, is just that, a coupe, I bought the car hoping that it would be only me in the drivers seat and maybe a hott blonde in the passenger seat once in a while. It's a thrill ride that is low to the ground, has nice tight suspension and roars when you step on the gas. It's not a luxury vehicle by any means, the GS def. has the luxury appeal to it, the G35 is a great toy, not a limo.

Couple of quick comments:
I'm 6'6" and I choose the G35 because of how well I fit. (one nice option would be a telescopic steering wheel)
I'm 23 and when I do see other G35's on the road the driver usually has at least 10 years on me.
I was deciding between the Z06 and the G35 and chose the G35 because I just think it's a much classier car.
random:
The G35 is the second worst car I have ever driven in snow. (#1 is a 600+ HP Cobra replica)
-Thankful for my XTerra

Hey sugarman, did you have performance tires on your G in the snow? I'm more familiar with the '05 specs and I know that the OEM 18" and 19" rims come standard with summer-rated performance tires. These tires should NEVER be used in the snow as they have virtually no traction what-so-ever on the white powder. I've taken out an '05 with the base OEM 17"s and all weather tires, and the car behaved perfectly in the snow. I have also driven the car with the OEM 19's in a "dusting" of snow, and had a difficult time keeping it on the road due to lack of traction.
Given your statement about the snow, I'll bet you'd be just fine with a set of all-season or dedicated winter tires on the G.

i had the stock 18" setup. i know they're not all season tires so i can't really complain they don't work in the snow. i bought the car for the summers anyways and was just commenting on my first and only experience with in in bad weather.
btw.. it's sugerman ;-)

I'm not going to argue about your perceptions of the car. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. No offense, but you're a moron for buying the car new and selling it for a loss just 2 months later. All of the issues you talked about you could have known by just sitting in the car on the showroom floor (not even driving it).
My personal opinion is that you're a troll from a Lexus forum trying to stir up trouble, because I can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to do what you claimed you did.

the miniute someone say something negative you guys go flaming on someone..It's just a car thats going to get old like you guys and down the road someone is going to be saying the samething about the G..It's definitely not the best car on the road, it is nice but there again if everybody drove a G35 because it was so hot then that would be boring, All I'm saying is respect each others opinions without being affended knowing not everyone likes what you like...show some restraint..God bless..peace..peace
