i think EVERYONE here on this forum understood why you did it before you used the "chic analogy". it's with a car purchase, it's not like buying a pair of shoes or clothing....$5000 is a lot for two months worth of ownership for the coupe.

I agree! this was a costly and very memorable mistake. This is the only reason why I posted this thread. Only to share my story.

And about the "chic analogy" I was trying to add a little humor to this TIRED THREAD. But I also believe it was warranted. Some people still weren't getting it! Its true. read the whole thread.

Now, everyone can enjoy!!

The "chick anology" was appropriate....I spend my money on women and cars, everything else is a waste!

Dude? Humm? Now I have to get philosophical . A man makes the car! A car does not make the man! If you use the G to get girls then we really must talk. Don't have time now though, I have to pick up my GF from bingo night(she has one leg). LOL!

About your IS300 comment: In that case, girls will pick up girls from high school. Only women should drive these dinky cars.

I'll show you pics of my GS. I'm sure you will have a change of heart. If not, let Allah be with you.

Enjoy!

Straightline speed isn't everything. The G35 coupe is a good handler but it isn't great. After driving the GS400, its fast but feels heavy. Its personal opinion, but if you think the GS400 is a great handler, more power to you.

Mr. "K", you should join a GS site immediately. You put half of us to sleep with your long winded analogies. Go tell your buddies on the Lexus sites about your love for your car. I'm sure they'll care.

Some people can't seem to tolerate any criticism of the G - like saying something negative about the Pope to a catholic. I think KAZAM has been even-handed about his comments on the G even though I don't agree with some of them. May I remind you that he started this thread with the statement - "Before I begin, by no means am I bashing the G35 Coupe. This is just my opinion!" What more can a person say to avoid sending some members of this forum into paroxysms of defensiveness? He only resorted to analogies when some people were not understanding some of his comments. I enjoy hearing from the small minority of people who decide the coupe is not right for them, it brings a little balance to this forum. I don't feel any antagonism towards them, I admire their courage to admit publicly that the car didn't work for them - despite having taken it for a test drive prior to buying it - and I wish them luck. I think the undercurrent of "good riddance" evident is some posts is unfortunate.

unless you are out on a track, "handling" on a highway doesnt mean much at all

Then why get the G...a TL/Chrysler 300/Mustang GT/ etc... offer great highway speed. Just because you are relegated to highway duty doesn't mean we all share the same fate
