Car jerks/bucks when accelerating WOT in first gear

Hi guys, new user here. I drove my car while it was raining today, and I felt like my traction slipped a couple of times and didn't think anything of it because I thought it was the VDC kicking in. But the slip light didn't come on at all, and that was unusal to me. However, as I drove the car later in the day, it was no longer raining, it happened again! So I assumed that one of my intake couplers have gotten loose and needs to be attached back together. (Ive had this issue before where the coupler on the throttle body came loose). When checking, everything seemed to be intact and solid. (I have an injen CAI with hydro shield).

So what it feels like is when I'm in first gear, and accelerating WOT, it does an intense jerk and goes back into acceleration, and jerks again, and repeats. It feels like the VDC is kicking in, but isn't. It did it also in second gear around 4.5k rpm, but wasn't as intense as first gear.

Is it the MAF sensor? Maybe water has got into it? I'm going to be cleaning the MAF and inspecting if there is any tears in the intake couplers this weekend but want to hear your guys opinion on it.
Could it be faulty crank/cam sensors?
Worse case would be something wrong with the transmission or clutch. Please help.

Ok..well my first question obvious one, but needs to be asked, have you read any codes or gotten any check engine lights?

If not, it may be transmission related, as that needs a different code reader...and I am not sure that is going to give you a dash light.
