Learn your shifting sequence using your left foot first before moving the shifter.
Do not "shift mad quick, yo" -Jk.

if the space bare onthis computer worked right thenthat wouldnt be a problem. govt issue computers are the hottest thing they aremad old and busted. so ifthe space bar worked with out beating it maybe that would be better. just an example of where your tax dollars go.

Try driving as you normally do in this situation, but when you go to perform the 2-3 shift, Press the clutch all the way down and then move the lever from 2-3 only once the clutch is fully depressed(on the floor). Move the shifter as quickly as you normally do. Try this a few times. If you grind most of the time or all of the time, then the syncro is probably bad. If not, then you likely do not have the clutch down far enough when you are shifting.

it could be the thrid gear is a little to big(machineing problem) and the gears dont fit corectly. Try putting it in second and drive around. rev it up, drive fast for 2nd gear, then just push it into 3rd without touching the clutch. dont push it all the way in, just let it grind for like a min or 2. then try it.

Do you have any idea what you are talking about? I can't even understand the concept you are getting at here. The actual gears in a manual tranny are always meshed. When you engage a gear, you essentially mesh the input shaft, output shaft or the layshaft with the gear itself. It uses dogs. When you hear grinding noises, it is the teeth on the dogs that are grinding. And these are pretty beefy. Not to mention grinding would likely make it harder to engage before it makes it easier.
