setting lock and unlock flash

guys, question. to set the headlights to flash when locked and unlocked WITHOUT the horn, does anyone know the exact settings??? The dealer has no clue. i watched him fumble with it for an hour and yield no results.

update on horrible mpg. as some of you know, i have been getting ridiculously low mpg. i went to two different dealers today... first one, "its normal, you are in spec." Second dealer (without even touching my car) "you have a g35 coupe, i know you push the car hard. plus, its winter. gas stations use oxygenated gasoline. its normal."

hold both lock and unlock for about 2 seconds, the lights should flash 3 times. Do it again to reverse it. it's in the owners manual...

At least for my 2005 sedan...

The headlights will not flash when you lock or unlock the doors. The posts above will get the parking lights to flash.

There are other settings that you cannot set yourself. The dealer can set them using the consult tool. Details are available in the FAQ

If the parking lights don't flash when you click the lock button on the remote, something is wrong.

That might work. I think it's a good idea to be very specific about what you want done to the car. I would print out the sheet, and mark how you want it set, and give that to them.
