Is it me or is G35c a better buy than Z?

I know they are two different beasts, but considering the amount of accessories, toys, and gadgets each have, it seems to me like the G35c is a much better bargain than the Z.

I mean the Z Touring model with side curtain airbags and 6mt comes out to be 33600. The G35c with 6mt is 33150, and that comes standard the side curtain airbags, 19" forged wheels, larger brakes, a back seat, AND 298hp!

So to me, the G is a better buy than the Z. What do y'all think?

when i shopped around, i wanted: 18" wheels, leather, automatic, climate controlled AC, and power seats. turns out the G had most of that standard and had a lower sticker compared to an equivalent Z with the touring package.

I agree the G is a much better deal if you are interested in the side curtain air bags, the 19" wheels, leather, Bose and even a sunfroof. Besides I think the interior on the Z just looks cheap.

FYI, the Z has the REV shift light, miles till empty and mpg & trip computer standard. Only '05 Gs have the former, and the latter we don't have at all unless Navi-equipped. The Z has some really cool little gadgets and I didn't think the interior was all that bad.

Now if you look at a Z track model, up to '04 when the G had the Brembos, the G was definitely a better deal with an MSRP of $32,050 vs. $34,079 for the Track Z.

Plus the G is better looking (especially the rear end and taillights), smoother ride, better warranty....

The interior of the Z really turned me off. As well as no back seats.

Both are really, really hot looking cars. They have about the same power, and the 350Z might handle slightly better, but the added luxury and smoother ride of the G35 and of course, the back seats and usable trunk space make the G35 totally more worth it. But if you want a 2-seater roadster available in a convertable, the 350Z would make a great car. Yet I still would prefer the G personally.

I wish i had both, but its like everyone else says the two rear seats, and the fact that your dealing with infiniti not nissan are where the real differance is..

Yeah. The Z can be had for much cheaper, but you don't get anything in it. It's a good platform for a track car build up.

I just found it kind of funny that if you were interested in a Z Touring model, like how I was, that the G with everything that the touring Z comes with can be had for cheaper and get even more stuff with it.

having spent all of yesterday w/ a bunch of z's and g's. I would say they are bout the same, It all depends on what the buyer is looking for. If you want something totally sporty the get a z. If you want luxury and sportiness the get a g. The thing that sold me on the g was the warranty. Infiniti offers a much better base warranty than Nissan w/ an upgrated warranty.

check out the south fl z and g meet
