I think you can grab a 2000 celica gt for around that price. Closer to the G in terms of performance/handling and looks also! If I were on a slimmer budget, I think I'd have ended up with the celica. Toyota just kicks ***!

Really, toyota kicks ***? How come it took them 10 YEARS to put variable valve timing in a car? Yeah, Im referring to Honda/Acura. And you would think that after contemplating a serious competitor to the Integra for 10yrs they would have been able to best it. Keep trying.

Here’re some cars that I would shop for in the $12K to $14K range:
’99 - ’00 Toyota Solara SLE V6
’00 - ’01 Honda Accord EXV6 coupe or sedan
’00 - ’01 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP
’00 - ’01 Nissan Maxima SE or GLE
’00 Infiniti I30
’00 Acura TL
You can get any of these cars in the price $12K to $14K range, if you look for the best deals around your area or surrounding areas. Try AutoTrader.com also you can find some pretty good deals there too.

cjones..... Toyota introduced VVTi in '99, back then Honda only had VTec which activates only above 5,000rpm, which is lame and stupid, meaning their engines are pu$$iesh under that RPM.
VVTi is continuously variable timing, its always on and always kicking in at all RPM's, not at a set point.
Toyota was a step ahead. Then Honda caught up and put their "i-Vtec" which is basically what VVTi is and basically what every car manufacturer has right now.
If your comparing quality of honda and toyota, they are equally good car companies. Both have their strong points, both have their weakpoints (ugly styling as of late)
