Hey guys,
I finally got around to installing the Omnifi hard-drive based mp3 player in my car, with the help of my friend Tim, who has a G35 sedan. He also installed one in his car.
The Omnifi consists of a hard drive unit, a little box that connects to the stereo, a faceplate controller, and a wireless transmitter/receiver (to sync music without having to take your harddrive out of the car!).
The pictures show the DIN-sized faceplate, which I mounted on the inside of the cubby hole flap above the stereo. Tim made up some angled brackets so it would be at the proper angle, and we bonded the brackets onto the flip cover. The faceplate is totally hidden when you close the cover!
Since the PAC-Audio adapter has 2 AUX inputs, I ran a cable out under the dash in case friends have Ipods or other music players. I also put the wireless antenna on the rear parcel shelf.

You have to take apart the dash (not that easy the first time!) and get into your stereo and splice into 4 wires to power the Omnifi.
You also have to drill a hole (~9/16") into the cubby hole to pass the connector of the faceplate through.
You have to make some angled brackets to mount the faceplate to the inside of the cubby hole fliip cover.
