How to dyno a 6MT

Yes it is silly. I searched and couldn't find the consensus. How does this sound:

Get to 5th gear
Drop RPM's to as low as it will go
Hit switch and floor it out to redline
Hit switch to stop

This is assuming a DynoJet. Is this correct?

that's pretty much it. of course, the people at the dyno did mine in 4th. i still read 244 hp and 225 tq in 102 degree weather for a stock 05 6mt. i'm wondering if that was good enough for a baseline.

for the AT, it's 4th and for the 6MT's it's 5th because those are the 1:1 ratio gears for those models

i guess that means i have to go back for better numbers... hopefully, it won't be as hot and humid. i just felt bad about srt neons doing 230. ugh.

244 was still about an 18% drivetrain loss so it wasn't too bad.
