Yes you're pretty close on the cost, I paid around 9K for TT installed and I have zero issues after 3K miles. It drives like it came from the factory this way. If you drove it, you'd swear this was Infiniti's GTR. What car is out there with 500hp, looks near as good as the G, has a back seat and is under $50K??

Did you get an MT or AT... that engine would be a blast with an MT!! Good luck with the new ride.

I love the way people say it looks like a Cavalier....I get non-stop comments, and it's a rare car!! (only 14,000 made in 2004). Everybody and their mother has G coupe now!
I get 330 horses at the wheels with just a cold air induction. You have to put thousands into the G to get that!

There might be a good reason why everyone and their mother has a G Couple
Funny, I saw an old lader with a G Coupe hauling A$$ too the other day. Well, all I can say is that at least 2 times a month I get someone complimenting me on my car so I"m good

The GTO is made in Australia (Holden Monaro) with an American V-8 thrown into it.

I actually hate when people say that...i honestly don't see the resemblance...where have you found parts for it cuz i'm eager to start modding soon....

and i got the AT....i'm not a big fan of the manual even tho i know it would be fun...

Look no further than www.ls2gto.com
It is the biggest late model GTO forum on the web and click on all the sponsors at the left. Everyone there is very friendly. You made a great choice, it is very and cheap easy to get ALOT of power out of the LS2 engine. Good choice in getting the automatic, it is less fun (I bought the manual and drove both), but the gates are not well defined and the shifter is pretty sloppy for the manual. The auto is pretty bad on gas though....

There is a reason why it is a "rare" car and Gm only made 14,000 of them..........because NO ONE would buy it! They shut down production and were basically giving them away.........

Hey man, I do love muscle cars and the awesome power they make......but the GTO has to be the most plain jane looking car out there......

You are so wrong about the looks. I will admit it does not look good as the G coupe, but you won't believe how many people comment me constantly. It looks boring in magazine, TV, but not in person. Also, they were planning on making less than 18,000 for the first year of importing to the US from Austrailia.
The fit and finish is amazing, interior room blows away the G.
I bought for 8 thousand less than a G. Since Infiniti dealers treat it likes made out of gold. I don't really care if "NO ONE" wanted to buy it? Do I really give a $hit what most people think when I can smoke a G35/350Z without even trying?

I drove around in a 600rwhp Mustang (2 time cover car, 10 magazine features) for 10 years....if I wanted neck snapping power I would have kept the Stang

The reason there are only 14,000 Gtos made is the lack for DEMAND...same reason the Camaro/Firebird died. As for G coupes...I don't see many at all....and 6MT are pretty scarce at dealerships.

Congrats on your new purchase. I trust you experience with your new GTO will a better one (or longer) than you had with your G.

Good luck and enjoy!

wow 400hp/400tQ nice power but coming from a 6.0liter i would ask for more BMW M5 using 5.0L and has 500hp with 6.0L shouldnt it be more ??imaging the mileage you will be getting
if i'm reading it right it's 4 speed auto ?
i think mecerdes-benz are using 7 speed for auto and most cars are using 5-6 speed auto
well at least the manual is 6 speed hahahaha

Well, A) the GTO is up for a major redesign if they dont scrap it in the next 2-3 years. and i mean COMPLETE over haul to look more retro... sales MIGHT increase then and
B) if they made the GTO look like this here, (IE less grand am vs. cavalier) they might get more sales.
