bad news...crashed my baby =(

well it happened on a normal sunday afternoon. i was on my way to my girlfriends house. i was on this road that i knew pretty well. My VDC was off like always. So i was tryin to have fun on this winding rd. i downshifted to 3rd and started having fun. well i was going around this curve then i see the "slip" light come on(isnt that not suppose to happen if the VDC is off!!) but yea well it caused me to start swerving and i lost control and ran into an oncoming car. it was pretty bad. but im just lucky to be alive and with no serious injuries. everyone was ok. here are the pics

My 04 ip 6mt b4 the crash(had intake, test pipes, short shfter, teins were on their waybut had to cancel)

After the crash....

they couldnt find the wheel!!

police said i was lucky to be alive. i got a mild concussion and a bruised knee. thank god. just recieved my check for the car. But for now im gonna buy me a beater because i dont want to drive a new car during the winter here in VA it snows and i almost crashed it last winter going to work.i need a front rear beater. but im thinkin about getting another G in late Feb 2006 when the spring is around the corner. Even tho im sad i crashed my old G. im kinda excited about gettin a 05(used probably) because of the 15 Hp gain and the 19 inch wheels =D. But im def. gonna take a look at the 06's b4 first.

wow...you didn't get arrested for wreckless endangerment? Lucky. You really need to evaluate your driving behavoir before purchasing another car.

sorry for your loss, atleast you're ok and everyone else. save that stuff for the track. Take your aftermarket parts off your car if possible.

Winding road with incoming traffic == VDC on. Could have saved your car and the others persons car.

Not to be an a$$ or anything, but seriously, your "fun" just caused another family to be in some sort of burden (ie - loss of car, bodily injuries and especially emotionally tramatized). Flame on if you have to but it's true. No sympathy here

You are a moron. People like you are the reason my insurance premiums are high. You dont own a Ferrari and you are not on a racetrack so dont drive like you are.

Lucky to be alive? Some would say unlucky.

That's weird how you lost control.. how fast were you going? I drive with VDC off all the time too and when I go to work I have to get off this winding ramp that's almost 270 degrees.. I usually downshift to 3rd and slow down while I'm on it.. you must've been going more than 40 mph!

The sad part is...he thinks it was "cool". Plus what insurance company gives totals out your car and pays you in 1 day?

Use the insurance money to buy a bus pass or cab fare.

I hope the people who want their VDC off for good read this thread. Honestly though, no sympathy for you. I feel bad for the car that you hit, and all because you wanted to have "fun?"

Sorry for your loss. Please learn to drive before you step back into a high powered car like a G35.

Obviously your driving skills are not good enough to warrant you driving around without VDC. I would highly recommend driving school or auto-x to improve your skills before you kill somebody on the road. When I do go driving through the mountains, I still leave VDC on because there is not much margin for error. It may not be as fun but it is much safer for you and others.
