dont drive in the snow

last night was horrible, my baby got hurt, i was at my cuzins house when it started to snow, and i have work in the morning so i didn't wanna be snowed in at his house, so i decided to leave while the snow wasn't on the ground, i took 9 all the way home no back roads, my cuzins house is 15 min away, but i drove so slow it took me 50 min to get to my street, not even a mile away from home, my brakes locked up and i started stliding towards a curb, and i hit a brick mailbox, the speed limit was 25 and i was doing less than that. i picked up speed as i started sliding, i want to cry, all those claims that the g does well in the snow are lies, cuz it wasn't really bad out, now look at my baby

you need winter wheels/tires set up my friend. Our G is basically dead even with an inch of snow. Check tiresrack.com now before they sold out again like last year.

How can you make a statement like that without having the proper tires on it?
I hope you didn't try driving with summer tires,
I made it to work just fine today.

the rear will not fishtail like on summer tires (or all season tires) for that
matter on snow tires unless you mash the gas like an idiot.

i don't drive my G in the snow though, i have a subie for that.

i heard putting heavy sand bags in the trunk helps you with the snow, only if u really don't want to spent the money for winter tires...

it might help a little bit.

I'm so sick of folks without proper tires claiming they know the G is bad in the snow. I've driven two G's now, both through many feet of snow, on ice, sleet, slush, you name it. Get a good set of winter tires and drive safely and it's fine.

How are the all season tires on the snow? I'm not planning on driving my g in the snow but I just want to hear how they might do in the snow. Safe driving is almost a must in this kind of weather.

i have all seasons on now, i thought that was good enough, i mean i dont really plan on using my g when it snows, its jus that the snow caught me on my way home, im sure the g is better with winter setup, but it's still rear wheel, im coming from an altima, that had summer tires, and 20inch rims on and snow still wasn't a problem, i should of said the g sux in the snow by comparison,

Do you really think it makes a difference if you have 850 lbs. on each back wheel or 900 lbs.?? It's all in the tires - period.
