I'm looking into options to add a little horse power without doing anything extensive and in hopes of not voiding my warranty. I was told there are some options that keep the warranty intact. I've just begun looking into intake and exhaust systems. Anyone have suggestions on what to do and what brands to look at?

 

Numerous options out there but don't expect much improvement on this well tuned car. Have a look at the modifications forum- intake exhaust etc.
One of the popular ones is a Ztube w/ K&N filter and the motordyne plenum spacer.

If a mod alters the way a car was originally designed to function . . . You can expect a Warranty Manager to give you grief at some point.

Yes no matter how simple the mod maybe, ie - z-tube, you run the risk at voiding your warranty. Some dealers will be cool about it, but like for the ones where you didn't purchase your G, don't expect them to cut you slack. You either go all the way or nothing.

 

It really depends on how strict the dealership is, some places are more mod-friendly others are **** about it. but don't keep your hopes up on high gains on bolt on mods. you can try to replace the cats, there prob the most restrictive part of your exhaust system.

 

There's alot of stuff you can do that can give you very small amounts of increased HP, most only really make the car "sound cool." Anything you do could be used against you for your warrenty. Keep in mind the engine this car has is a modded Altima 3.5 v6. It already has all the major upgrades, so any upgrade you do isn't going to do that much unless you get a supercharger.

 

I too would go with the K&N filter, Z-tube, and motordyne spacer.
