Axles making clicking noise when taking off?

Anybody else experience this? When I got my oil change about a month ago the guy assured me nothing is wrong with it.. its normal and happens to every G35/350Z. But after a few races last week it seems to be louder clicks now.. I'm starting to get worried because I'll be visiting the 1/4 this saturday. Just thought i'd verify w/ everyone before I head out?

This is a common problem and there is a TSB out for it. Here's another thread where the owner has the same problem.

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-coupe-v35-2003-07/81335-dealer-won-t-do-tsb-b-c-mods.html

Here's a link to the TSB

Good luck.

verrry common problem, just get in your car, hit about 80mph then dump the car into reverse while going 80. It should fix your 'clicking'...

not to worry pakman, everyone is correct about the TSB. This happened to my '04 IP cpe after 2 months of owning it. I believe that they replace the axle joints. This was done in Nov. 2004 and everything seems to be fine now.

Before you go in, call and make sure they have the replacement parts. I understand that this is a part that's in very short supply, and most people had to wait a few weeks before the dealer was able to get them in. I had to wait about a month. Good luck!

I was on a waiting list for a little over a month for the required parts to fix the rear axle rattle issue via a TSB. Some members, I have read, were given loaners during this waiting period. I simply drove my G. I was told that is was safe to do so. However, I don't if running the 1/4 will create any additional problems.
