Sharp back pain from sitting in coupe(I'm only 20)

Typically for rides more than 30 minutes my back starts to hurt around the middle of the spine. This does not happen when I'm driving other cars only the G35. The pain goes away after I get out of the car and walk around for a few minutes. Any suggestions ? I've tried adjusting to a few different settings but still it hurt. Typically I drive with the seat a little bit reclined, and my knees not locked when fully depressing the clutch. and the last two buttons at the lowest setting.

I've read the post about someone bitching about it and got an M3 instead but I'm not selling my G .

edit: I'm 5 feet 9 inches tall

Have you tried to set your seat in more of an upright position?

I usually drive in a more upright position. I tried reclining it abit last night but I don't think it help. It feels like its the contour of the part of the seat that supports the back whatever you call it thats causing the problem

adjust your lumbar support and make sure to adjust your recline, in the most upright position you can tolerate. The problem is muscle weakness in your paraspinal muscles. you need to work out your back muscles. Go to a Physical Therapist. RX
after re-reading your post, you dont specify wether the pain is localized or "shooting" down to your legs, but if it does travel to the leg/legs you may have nerve impingement caused by a disc wich has herniated. what you would call a "slipped disc" anyway, if the pain is only localized its only weakness of your back muscles. Everything that has been suggested are all excellent ideas.

Also, having a wallet in your back pocket can cause pain as well.

YES, never wear a wallet while sitting. It will cause your pelvis to shift after time. RX

so if you dont normally excersize, give it a try and i gaurantee that in 4-6 weeks you will no longer have the back pain after 30 minutes but it is important to stand after driving every hour or so. Its important in order for the blood to circulate and to of course stretch! RX

I've had no backpains driving my G! And I commute 1hr each way, everyday. I do workout so that may help and adjust the lumbar support.

I'm 25 adn starting having lower back pain after getting the G. I sit in a rather upright position and my previous car had JDM STI seats, which were awesome. I have the leather seats in for the winter, as it had the Nismo seats before that.

I found it very unusual to have this problem, I have been trying to adjust the seat and find a comfortable position. I don't know what's up....
