Anyone else have a 350Z before their G? I miss mine.
Before I bought my 05 G 6MT, I had a 350Z which I totalled but I don't want to get into that story. It was a 2004 350Z Touring 6MT Hardtop w/ Navigation. She was Silverstone aka Diamond Graphite. Yeah I liked the color so much I got the G in DG as well. The only thing I did to the 350 was a Clearbra and Nismo Shift **** which is on my G now in rememberance of my Z. RIP Elizzzabeth.
When I had the Z, I always looked at the G and couldn't help but want her but as much as I miss my Z... I wouldn't trade back.
I guess my question is, for those of you who have owned both or owns both, which do you prefer and why?

i had the silverstone 350z 04 right before i got the 04 DG G 6mt (btw they were both 6mt)..... i like both a lot, each one is different then the other.... the z a little bit more edgy, and i feel that i have more power, more torque on it.... the G on the other hand makes me feel more classy, and i can wear a suit in it...... so each one has a differnt part in my heart, i love both of them.....now the next car on the other hand will incoorporate both of these qualities......thinking about a 911 or 360 modena......!

The 360 Modena's interior is not any better than the G35 Coupe. (pre-2005) I think a better upgrade might be the 550 Maranello. The 550 is not quite as nimble or flashy as the 360, but it's a classier choice as a daily driver. The Austin Martin might be a good choice as well.

i think a better alternative is to WAKE AND STOP DREAMING. lol
hey Disco_Monkey, you never explained what it is exactly you miss about the Z.
i actually never liked the 350Z UNTIL i bought a G. the G helped me appreciate the Z a lot more. (i was, however, deeply in love with the previous generation Z, which is one of the most stunning designs in automotive history. that car still looks good!)

350z is a hot car hands down.
as a car enthusiast I always admired the new design Z series... only problem is no stock turbo... atleast it doesnt have the (gay) variable timing crap.
I got the most incredible offer on one of those blue (dont like the color either) touring 350Z w/ spoiler, nav, borla exhaust 24k miles for 22K even at my infiniti dealer.... I turned down the offer to get a G35, one reason.. I need backseats.

I have a 2004 350Z 6MT and a 2004 G35 Coupe 6MT. In terms of driving and looks, I like the Z better. It feels quick and handles better to me. I also like the looks better. The G's interior is much nicer, and the back seats are convenient. In the G I just feel like I'm driving a much classier car.
No complaints really on either cars as I love them both!

I had an '03 350Z before I bought my G35 Coupe 6MT. I had the Performance model, so it came with the 18" and the the performance goodies except the Brembo brakes. I REALLY loved the Z. It became my dream car when I first saw it. I just had to have it.. and that was my downfall. I was so excited to get one, the I didn't review that long sales document before I signed it. The stealership, just for example, I will call Superior Nissan of Mission Hills in CA, RIPPED ME OFF and added $3000 to the price that I had agreed on with the salesman. I was happy driving the car home, but when I looked at that paper, my heart just sank. To make a long story short, after much complaining to the stealership, the Better Business Bureau, the DMV, and Nissan of America, they agreed to take the car back and I got all my money back.
I still look at 350Z's and say "wow".

I actually liked the way the Z felt from a driver's standpoint. It felt like it was lighter, faster and handled a lot better. Very sporty. The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't have a TT version straight from the factory. The navi sucked cuz it got me lost just about as much as it actually helped me find my way. I loved the side profile view. I think the G looks better tho. I had the Z stock which I miss the most! My G is sucking the life out of my bank account due to mods... lol.

I have both and I summed it up this way to my mechanic the other day:
The Z is like a girl that is guaranteed to put out on the first date no matter what.
With the G, you have to take her out to dinner and a movie first.
Sorry for the crude analogy--it's just what comes to mind when I drive the two. My red Z is a little ****!
