now that u mention it.........i bet they DID just swap the trunk out!! those bastards!! Well not that I really care.....but I did not pay for any of it to be done. Man, I should have looked around the lot more carefully because I was walking around the lot just to see what they had. DANG IT! They are a pretty friendly dealership and have treated me well every time i go in. So, I'm not gonna complain, i'm just happy its back to normal

I would take a real close look at your new trunk lid and make sure the paint matches the rest of your car. Often the paint will differ between cars of the same color and it won't be noticeable until parts are swapped out. Your new trunk lid might have came off of a different year model car and the possibility of the paint being different is even greater.

no, they swapped the entire trunk, with one that already had a factory-installed spoiler, which is better than them installing one, so i think you got the better end of the stick...
