stalled it at a light, now won't go above 2500RPM

I stalled it at a light today...it started right up, but now won't go above 2500RPM. anything above that is starts cutting out...almost like a fuel cut off.

I guess it's heading to the shop...just thought I would see if anyone had any suggestions before I did.

Weird .....try an ECU reset.....won't hurt, and may work.

turn vdc off????? Try that to get it to the shop at least....that's wierd tho...

I'm guessing you went into limp mode for some reason. Are all your dash lights on? Reset your ECU

I'm guessing limp mode too.. but why would it do that after you stall? I think i stalled once or twice by popping the clutch without realizing i was in gear (don't know where my mind was) and i had no problems with limp mode or otherwise. Just started back up and took off in embarrassment.

well...all is well now. I let it sit for awhile...fired up and all is good.

weird.

Next time it does that unplug and plug back in your throttle position sensor.
