Oh No, What's Wrong With My G?

I have a 2005 6MT.

For some reason when I reach high speeds on the freeway (65mph +, but the exact # varies) my slip light comes on and the ABS light comes on. The car drives fine though. When I turn off the car and turn it back on the lights are gone.

Today I was driving in 6th gear and I hit 65mph and the slip light came on and I had no acceleration power for 2 seconds. The car actually thought the tires were slipping.

What is going on?

Any ideas?

1. check your brake fluid level.
2. check your tires for (uneven) wear and (low) pressure.

if both above are fine, take it to the dealer.

Two things

1. Check your brake pads....if it's low the fluid level will do down and trip the warning lights on the dash.

2. If your pads are ok then check the brake fluid level.

If that doesn't fix your problem then take the car in for repairs.

Thanks for the advice. I'll do my best to take it in to the dealer. You would be amazed at how terrible the Miami Infiniti dealership is. I've called 5 times and left 4 voice messges and still no call back from the maintenance dept.

If only I was near Lokey Infiniti...

well... if it is worth the X hour drive take it to Lokey... lol... if they miami dealership isnt returning your calls... talk to the GM... that usually solves the problem... infiniti dealerships usually pamper you though... i dont get it... at least the ones out here in california do... i drive to mines thats about 20 mins away and they greet me with a smile and say hello mr chuang how can we help you today... then i pop in the massaging chair in front of the plasma TV and wait for my car... free popcorn too... still workin on the free sodas haha...

Ah, throttle body...thanks for the info.

Yeah, I'm really surprised at how bad my local dealership is. I think I will contact the GM...in the past when I've tried to set up appointments for oil changes I just scream at the phone for a few minuts, drink a beer, and head to my local Jiffy Lube.

When I had the same problem, my brake pads were low.
