Question MREV matched with which intake?

Rumor has it that the MREV setup doesnt do very well with long-tube cold air intakes. Is that true?

regarding our cars, i heard that all cold air intake causes a loss of power...

the stock cold air intake is supposed to be the best, very straight through and no bends to slow down the air flow

There was one post i read a couple weeks ago that mentioned that on the dyno, the MREV along with a long tube cold air intake system caused an odd dyno print-out. (shaky) I cant remember who mentioned it though. Hmmm, I wonder what Motordyne would recommend??

that is true- they do not do well with long air intakes- something about the resonate frequency- straight from the mrev creators mouth himself (though i paraphrase)

he (mrev creator and god of all mrev things) prefers short ram type air intakes- if one is needed at all (which it really isn't, just drop in a k&n high flow and save the moola)

Comments to that effect have been made. At a recent MREV dyno a long ram intake was replace with a Z tube and drop-in filter combo and yielded excellent gains in lieu of the siad. There was a dyno detailing this incident just recently, I believe. Hehehe . . . No names mentioned to protect the innocent.
