Valentine One where to buy sheap?
Hey all, where the heck can i find a cheap Valentine one? anyone willing to sell theirs? let me know as i do not want a speeding tix. thanks RacerX

The cheapest you're going to get a Valentine besides off E-bay or something is to call Valentine and ask for one of their returned units. Many ppl buy these for a long W/E trip or vacaton and take advantage of the 30 day return policy. Valentine resells these units as I understand for a discount.

The Valentine1 only tells you where cops are, not where to buy sheep. Check the RX8 forum for where to buy sheep.

to buy a new one, call valentine. you can buy a returned one that has been fully tested and comes with brand new accessories. they give you 10% off price.

Seriously though your only option is to try and buy a returned item. Since you can upgrade older V1's most people hang on to them forever.

E-bay will be the cheapest way to get one. A lot of people just sell theirs on e-bay and buy a new one instead of sending it in when they want to upgrade to the new version. Since they are only sold through Valentine, there is no other way to get one. Even used, don't expect it to be cheap. The cheapest version 1.7-1.8's out there normally sell for over $300 on e-bay.

Why pay $300 on eBay and then not have the upgrade? I have used both, upgraded and none, and the upgraded V1 is WAY better and only cost about $185 for then upgrade and they actually send you a new one. So add theupgrade price and you end up paying more than a new one. This is what my brother did (upgraded an older unit he bought new) and he received a new unit.
Plus buying off eBay is 50/50 at best, make sure you get the S/N and call Valentine to see it was reported stolen.

E-bay is a good way to go. There are always several there. Find a good price on a buy-it-now, or a no-reserve auction and keep tabs on it right until the end.
I got mine from a work-pal. He sold his 328 so he could buy a house here in the East Bay, and the VW he drives now doesn't require protection. =)

Yeah, the V1's that were bought and returned are called "Vacation models" (I guess because they were sent to a new place, but then returned/shipped back, kinda like taking a vacation).
Btw, how can you compare the G35C to the RX-8? RX-8 is a pure sports car, I don't think it has any class/luxury to it.
