Pressure sensor lit. air is ok - what's up ?

Air pressure sensor is lit on the dash. I checked all the tires, and pressure is the same in each (32 lbs.)
It just lit up yesterday as I was driving, and has stayed on. It is the yellow tire icon I'm referring to.
Any clues to what's wrong ?
Thanks.

Thanks for the info.... I'm surprised, as it is an '06 with less than 1k miles.
I never had anything go wrong with my '97 Maxima which I owned for 8 1/2 years. I guess it is a minor problem.

did you check the pressure when the tires were warm? tire pressure will go up with warm tires. it maybe that the pressure looks normal when warm, but is really low when cold.

That would be my guess as well...bump it up to 35PSI and see if the light turns off. 1000 miles...i bet it is not a bad sensor...just run the tires at a higher PSI.

It happens to me every time I drive home after the traffic hours (no cars, high speed) at night. I just put on a new set of OEM 19s, trying to figure out if there's anything wrong with them or the computer's just screwed. If I drive home during traffic (low speed, stop and go) than it'd be fine. Might be the night time temperature, but i'm in Hawaii, it doesn't get too cold here. The light goes away after I restart the engine.

I had the same problem. The OEM 19"s are supposed to be run at 35 psi for all 4 tires. I had a nail in my rear tire so I had to take it up to the dealership to get it fixed. After they took the nail out and patched it and filled it up it still didnt turn the TPS light off. They took out there little machines and "woke up" the monitor as they said. If it dosent go off when you fill it to 35 take it up there and let them " wake it up".

Does an '03 5AT with OEM 18's have tire pressure sensors?

Same hapened to me on 05 6mt with 19"tires. Tires had about 32 psi, inflated to about 37 and light went off after a few miles. Light made me nervous, had to dig through owners manual to figure what was wrong. Stock bridgestones max at 51 psi. I'll keep my eye on wear but a few extra lbs. can't hurt gas milage. And for a small import, this car weighs alot.

I checked the pressure in the a.m. before I drove the car.
I may go to 35 as suggested by some and see if the light goes out.

I increased psi to 35 (from 32) and the light is still on.
I believe the sensor is faulty. I will have it checked when I go for my oil change at the end of this month.
