Pics of Cracked headlights

I have been reading this forum about cracked headlights for those w/o projectors so I went to take a look. Both headlights have cracks going through them. I took some pictures so you guys can see what I am talking about. I know other people are having this problem. Were you guys able to get free replacements from the dealer under warranty? Would they give me the projectors as replacements? Can I even fight this?

Is that a crack or a seam in the plastic? If both sides have cracks I would expect the dealer would replace them if you still have a warranty. But you wont be getting an upgrade.

Those are not cracks, they're seams of some sort. I have them as well and are symetrical on both sides. A crack would be irregular. These are intentional (for reasons unknown).

Those are definitely seams. My understanding is that due to the really curved shape they couldn't form the whole piece monolithically. They had to do it in two pieces and fuse it together. I have to look at my headlights, but yours seem to really stand out.

Again that is not a crack.

Apparently so. See this link for pics:

You should have the same seam on the other side. Do the '06 not have this?

Update: 06 has this as well, see first pic of post #7 on this link:

So funny

how people will say anything to try to get new projector headlights for free (warranty). It's very obvious what your trying to do. I think it's hilarious so i will pointed it out.

Come on man how do those look like cracks to you? Perfect curves on both headlights? Pretty impossible for it to be 'cracks' unless someone came by with a machine that can cut perfect curves in your headlights. It's easy, almost elementary, to conclude that the seams are intentional. I also have them on my 06 projectors.

I'm sure the dealer would correct his assumption when he confronted them with it.

There is a valid crack that people are talking about on the early models, which is a crack in the actual housing (chrome platstic) within the headlight 'bucket'.
