Uncomfortable drivers seat!!!
#406
i think its really how u sit, it effects me a bit, not much but on long drives it effects me a bit since im tall so my legs bend out sideways over the small console, if your not so tall your legs are straight and dont go near it... i think thats where it seems to be why some have it and some dont.
it is really faustrating. i also tried pushing down on the side in front of the controls and raising the back of the seat higher and still the pain is there.

have you guys try installing coupe seats? I had the same problem too with the sedan seats. They didnt hug enough. once i installed the coupe seats it was much better. i have more room now between the steering wheel and my thigh, im a pretty big dude ... The coupe seats hugs alot better too.
On the side note... when you do swap out the seats, take the headrest from the sedan and put it in the coupe seats you will notice a difference and it is more comfortable too.

When I first started driving my car the seat controls used to bother me, but now my thigh got used, it was about only a few days, and now I don't feel it.
I can sit in my car for hours on end, I dont have an issue. I am 6'2. I also have the steering wheel up so that when I turn I don't hit my thigh.
oh and my commute is 30miles

Where did you get that done? I would love that. I just got my car a few weeks ago and have started to not notice the controls on my leg. But i haven't taken any real long trips yet.

Same problem after test driving an '06 for a few hours. I flippin loved it, except for the seat controls digging into my thigh. LAME. Guess I'll go look for another g20.
I'm not sure if I trust the Infiniti brand now. I was hit head on in my '99 g20 by a motorcycle traveling 80+ mph while I was traveling 40. He actually lived and I walked away with a bruise from the airbag. So I really want another Infiniti but since this seat problem crept up months after purchase and after the seat settled in and Infiniti does nothing about it!
SHAME.

I just don't see how any seat with the controls in the bolster can be acceptable for me. I have wide hips and massive thighs. The actual "big boned" person.
My '99 AR2 5 speed g20 was just perfect. I drove it from Grand Rapids, MI to Key West, FL and back with absolutely no comfort problems. Especially with the sr20ve and B15 tranny I installed![Wink](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
The second identical g I bought a year and half ago was maintained by Infiniti until I bought it and it was super cherry. Best running sr20de car I ever drove. Till it was totaled by a motorcycle.
I'm really motivated to solve this issue. I have a great red with tan interior '06 base 35 sedan that I can scoop up for about $7,500 from a dealer that can't move it after 40 days and is offering a 3 month warranty and other goodies. Super clean with little cosmetic issues, no accidents and drives like a flipping dream. But... Those Lost in Translation seats. Ugh! Ugh!
2007's and up look like the seats might be better but the extra maintenance costs of a first year model look higher than the '06 models. And I don't want all the extras like BlueTooth and tripped out gauges. The '06 interior controls and center console reminds me of the '80s Z and the instrumentation illumination and crystal displays is very classy.
