MREV2 or spacer?

First of all, unless you have the Rev Up motor, you will need to do a reflash if you go with the MREV2 and a spacer or else you will lean out. Secondly, the MREV2 is the lower plenum and the Kinetix V+ manifold is the upper plenum so technically you can get both but once again, without a reflash, you will lean out. If you are talking about the Kinetix SSV, that is a different story. For those with the Rev Up engine, the best combo per Tony @ Motordyne is the MREV2 + the 5/16 inch spacer. Rev Up motors shouldn't need a reflash but you can definitely optimize your gains if you do a reflash or go with something like a UTEC.

For non Revup, I would really recommend a MREV2 over a spacer because for the stealth reason. HOWEVER, for gains, dyno runs (available so far..) show that 5/16" spacer and MREV2 show very similar gains.
Thus, IMO, if you can find a good deal on a 5/16" spacer, go for it..cause the MREV2 now costs around $222 (the discount was over...)
Good luck modding

1) SSV, I have never seen any dynos that show comparble gains to MREV2 or spacers on a NA VQ35
2) MREV2, has more average horsepower gain when compared to 5/16" spacer (there are a lot of dyno plots on this..)
3) 5/16" spacer, cost less, has a bit more up top, but doesn't give that much gain in the mid-range when compared with MREV2
4) MREV2 + 5/16", so far, as myself and Wired24/7 from 350z.com have experienced, you either get a tune or you are risking the ecu pulling timing to correct the lean situation from this combination (test pipes and aftermarket cats would only make the lean situation worse)
5) Nutshell, get MREV2 and stick with it or get a spacer if you can find one cheap; go for both if you can afford to pay to get a proper tune
