Anyone try putting on the newer 2008+ g37x Swift springs on their 2003-2006 g35x (8kg front, 7.4kg rear)? or the 2003-2006 g35 sedan Swift springs (5.5 kg front, 5.8 kg rear)? Im wondering if the drop would still be as even and comfortable as everyone is saying they are for their designed vehicle models/years. I was originally leaning toward the H&Rs but now Im thinking about these new fangled Swifts. btw this is my first post on any forum so Im hoping this submits right and doesnt have me quoting someone in gray as if its a direct reply. Thanks in advance!

 

Just installed a set of BC's and SPC camber kits on my '05 G35x Saturday. I was busy all day today and didn't snap any pictures, which is a shame because it was a great day here in NC. Tomorrow I'll get a picture or two and show my results. Kind of a mini-review but the BC's ride great and I would definitely recommend them to any X owners here.

I am not liking mine right now. I went to lower it some yesterday and all the dirt and grim is making me not able to turn the collars. Time to soak them in PB blaster. LOL

 

Alright so I promised a couple pictures to show the drop on BC's. I've had this car about a month and the BC's and SPC kits are the only thing I've done. Time for some wheels! Taking recommendations, car color is serengeti sand...

 

Do you lowered X owners have any tips for damping adustments to avoid or bring me close to avoiding bottoming out on road condition changes? Today I practically stared at the road driving home from work. Once I got out of the city it wasn't so bad and I took a sigh of relief. I did some forum searching but didn't find any threads where an X owner chimed in, if that makes any difference. I'm not necessarily looking for comfort, just the ability to handle a road hop without tapping my front sway bar. Either way I will have to keep an eye on the road and handle pull-in's like a pro, which I'm fine with. Might just have to go back up a few to ease my poor soul .

 

Just a quick update to my last question. If anyone is wondering and you were having issues with the road like me, I did a test this morning at full hard damping front and back and this did it for me. At one point I was bouncing continuously for about 30 seconds and it was hilarious. Otherwise it handled every bump about as good as I could expect, plus the feeling of the road at this setting is great. So my recommendation to future X owners getting BC is to start at full hard and work your way back down as per your road conditions.

 

Well when you put it at full hard damping it also make the rebound faster and that is what could be causing the continuous bouncing.

 

I always start it in the middle and go +5 one day and - 5 the following day. I think i'm 13 clicks from fully stiff and i think BC are 32 clicks overall.

 

Anyone try out the D2's yet?

 

So I have some 04 rwd sedan uca's laying around and it appears the only difference between my 06 awd uca's is the location of the ball joint. The rwd's are 1/2 inch further out and about 1/2 inch back towards rear of the car. Forgive my noobness, but aren't both of those measurements favorable for a lowered x? More positive camber and caster? That being said I'm not looking to use the rwd control arms rather pick up a set of adjustable ones for a rwd (which to my knowledge no one makes for an x). Sorry if this has been gone over before. Tried searching.

I just bought those bc's listed a couple posts above and plan on slamming her reason why I ask.

 

Might have another option. I emailed them to see if it works. They are pretty pricey though.

Just installed 350z sTechs on my G35x looks good and ride is smooth. Im sitting on 20x8.5 with just a hiar gap between tire and fender. Im happy

 

Are you on stock struts?

 

Yes I'm on stock struts. I'm going to change them when I find sport struts. But this works great on my x. Z stech with 20 and nitro tires
