I'm running Tanabe GF210 350z springs on my 04 G35x and the ride is aweful, it is way to stiff. Could it be that I am bottoming out the shocks? Any help is appreciated. My friend has a set of eibach pro kit 350z springs he is looking to sell would these be any better. Thanks

^probably not...

a 350z and a AWD g35 have diffrent springs rates. The ride is bad because your putting on springs NOT DESIGNED for your car. Just because they fit doesn't mean it works well.

Your size 10 foot might slip into a size 16 shoe but now try to run with it.

THis is the reason why most of us go with a coilover setup.

This 100%.

Plus it's lowering springs. You'll get shitty ride no matter what. That's why I suck it up because that's what I get for cheaping out and installing a 350z Megan's to my X as well. There's a reason my ppl suggest coils over springs haha. Hopefully next year I get mine. Haha

My shocks bump stop was bottoming out. I cut them but where can I get shorter shocks for the g35x?

I posted before but didn't get any replies to my question. I have a 05 "x" with H&R sedan springs. The ride isn't awful on normal roads but is harsh over bumps, potholes, driveways, etc. The handling improvement is only very minimal compared to stock IMO.
Also, at rear there is only about 1/2" gap between the fender and top of tires.
Question: I saved my stock rear springs and am thinking about just replacing the rears springs back to the stocks; and leaving the H&R's in the front ( about 1.5" gap in front). (i threw out the stock front springs along with the old struts - too hard to separate them)

Is this a good idea or will it screw up the handling and dynamics? would the ride quality improve? The fender gaps should be closer front to rear if i put the stocks back on the rear, which would look better than now.
of course i would get alignment re-done if i change out the springs.

really? you dont like the ride with h&r springs? what shocks are you using? if ur still on stock shocks, could explain the awful ride ur describing. before i got the BC Coils, i had H&R with Koni adjs. shocks all around and i loved the ride. best setup i had on my car before i got the coils.

Also, just giving a little update on the BC Coils. I must say, for the price they are worth every penny. i was one of the first to purchased them once they were made. they have been on the car since the summer of 09 and have been through rough winters. They still ride just like the first day i installed them. No leaks, No damages, and i still get compliments on how comfy the ride is with the coils. and im 7 clicks away from full stiff.

I changed the rear springs from 350z Megans to OEM 350z rears and I painted my rims purple. Which is not of good quality as I didn't clear coat it. SO I need to redo it sometime soon I guess. "Stance" is better now as it looks like a balance drop now for fronts and back. Just looking to get 19"s so it will be perfect for my height. It will be harder to get rid of rims now as it's purple lol

So that's how she sits for now. I just need to change the front bearing as it's ****ed already.

my g.
Please include in your post:
1- tanabe df210 for g35 coupe/350z on a stock struts/shocks.
2- maybe 2.0 all around. Back tires are lil bit tucked in.
3- it rides verry smooth imo. Although I admit its a lowered car so u can feel those bumps. No rub or anything. But I'm gonna roll my fender because I want to put spacer to flush my wheels a lil bit.
4-no problem.
5- 2000 miles since it was installed.no camber wear.
6-I have 171××× mi on my stock sport shocks/struts but they are still fully functional.
7-I have the stock 17's with 215/50/17.

All in all I'm verry happy! Just the exact drop that im looking for.
