AWD has different front setup so most shock/strut/coilover kits do not work. If you look behind your front wheel you see the strut is attached to the axle assembly via a large backward C-shaped piece of metal. That is very different from how the 2WD fronts attach. Springs themselves are basically interchangeable. For coilovers you need them to be AWD ones if you plan on putting them on the front of your car (BC Racing and possibly a couple others make them).

I did mine 2 yrs ago, then they were $900 or $999 but yeah about that much. On the plus side with coilovers you don't have to compress the springs to remove/install.

I bought mine from import parts pro-BC Racing BR Coilovers. I think most places just put your order directly to the manufacturer/distributor and they drop ship them. I don't think too many places actually stock them. Canada they may be harder to find, not sure. Probably easier to get around import issues buying used.

They ride great, I have them set about 15 from stiffest setting. Much stiffer and more responsive ride than stock for sure. I have never adjusted the height outside of the week I put them on-I really just bought them as a performance upgrade and wasn't too concerned about going a lot lower. I keep them set at the highest I think they can go (which is lower than stock) due to both snow and being able to get in the car wash (they told me they need 3.5" ground clearance). I have heard it is a pain to adjust after a while in 4 season climates because the nuts get pretty seized up.

^ after you get set with your ride height the first time.

People rarely mess with it ever again, unless they change up their wheel setup or want to go lower. This is a proven fact i've seen on all cars riding coilovers. I myself included.

I'm thinking about picking up some Tein S-Tech's for an 07 G35X beecause the guy said it would work on my 05 G35X, is this true and how much do you think it would drop my car? I couldn't find any threads on here about this....
