My mechanic said he is going to try to use the front left inner boot (driver); see if it fits, and do some stress testing on it. He seems to think it may work out, and although I've never seen it on this forum he could be right. I will update if that plan does not work out and we go another direction. I should have a definite answer on this particular X ailment in the next week or so.

Please post an update. I really want to lower my 06 x but i dont wanna have to deal with replacing the boot everty six months. Greatly appreciated

Can you please post pix of your eiback pro kit setup. Also hows the ride?

Thanks

Is the rear knocking issue isolated to just the bc coil overs or does it happen to megan racing and on lowering springs as well?

Thanks

What's up fixer. I noticed you have M wheels, and was wondering if you had to get spacers for the x. I have an o4 x and just bought the same wheels. Are your front springs stock coupe ones? Also have any more pictures for a brother?

Still managed to crack my front bumper on a chunk of ice!

Nice ride MPG35fiend! Super clean. I like the look of the bumper inserts too. Are those available for the stock bumper? I just purchased the emblemless grill and the OEM replica front lip from Ionic Dynamics. They should arrive in a few weeks.

ping6uod- I have BC coil overs and had a rear knocking noise as well. I brought my G35x to Z Car Garage in San Jose, CA and they fixed it right up! They said that the shop who installed my coil overs did not isolate them correctly. I highly recommend Z Car Garage if your in the area.

Right now I am in the market for new tires and I am torn between 245/40/18 or 245/35/18 all around. Any suggestions?

Wow, sorry I didn't notice this post until now (2 months later!) I'm actually running 18" FX35 wheels - they're similar to the M wheels but have 7 spokes instead of 8. The specs on the FX wheels are 18x8" +40 offset. I'm running stock coupe springs on the front, and the stock X springs in the rear. It gives it a pretty leveled out look - fender gaps are the same now front and rear.

Here's another pic with the wheels - I think this is before I lowered it though. I've been really slacking with keeping it clean and detailed, so I don't have recent pics LOL.

Nice I love Avant Garde I use them too. Good price and quality, awesome designs. Not overrated and not many people know about them. Unlike the overrated Work and Volk wheels on here...

For sure...glad I went with Avant Garde wheels too. Definitely more custom designs and finishes, high quality, lightweight (forged), and worth every penny.

Oh man I just KNOW you are scraping EVERYTHING with your car that low. I had to take my car up on BC's to about an inch off the tire to have enough clearance for the roads. I cannot take my car to any places with a regular rack and if I do I have to back the car in lol.

To be honest only thing that ive scrapped in normal driving is my mudflaps on hard turns. I went through the city last night and scraped the frame like 2 times lol. Oh and the splash guard all night.
