Calling all "X's" with a lowered suspension!
same happen to my tokico illumias when i had them on the maxima. cold weather= fluid gets thicker. Then it gets more of a bounce.
Im about to order my coils ,
i know ive been slackin...
In NY, is it okay to put them on in the winter and raise them up?
Does cold weather effect the coils fluid in any permanent way?
Cause I need to make my life easier, I dont wanna change springs to stock, Then install coilovers in the spring. Its a pain.

Ok here is a shot from my trip down to cali, courtesy of Candlestickpark. If you want to know I am lowered on bc racing coilover and my wheel set up is 19x9 +32 with 15mm spacer running a 225/40 up front and rear is 19x10 +32 running a 255/35. Yes staggered on a X no fuse pulled.
I am rolled in the rear so no rubbing. I actually when I first got them I put a 10mm space and had alot of rubbing. I think If I rolled them flat and added some more neg camber I wont have a problem. As for the fronts, I think I could go an extra 5mm
for those running 245/45/18s +30 offset, will they rub on an X when lowered?? Dont want to run any bad camber/toe. Still deciding between Teins or Eibach as I just want approx 1" drop all around.
Sure it's OK to put them on in the winter and raise them up..........that's the advantage and beauty of having coilovers. I'm sure in the winter you're going to have to change your settings a little softer, fluid gets thicker and makes ride harsher.
Hey Lumpia,
That is looking nice. How do you have the coilovers adjusted? Also can you give me an idea of your whole setup, so I can start looking into doing it myself. What adjusters do you have, and so on? I really appreciate it. I have 18's all around so I don't think I should be worried bout rubbing.
Thanks, Dan

any input??
i ran 265/40/18 with 18x8.5 +33 in my rears on coupe springs in the back which are about 1 inch or a hair more and it only rubbed when i had people. Same drop with the coils and NO rubbing. I have didn't adjust for camber/toe or have fenders rolled.
G Sedan's old setup was 245/45/18 all around with track wheels. He didn't have any work done AFAIK.
I'm going to run 245/45/18 with my 18x8.5 +33 all around with more then just 1 inch drop on my coils. If i have to get the fenders rolled, i'm going with a small spacer for the stagg effect.
i'll be doing a little more then that in the summer. coupe 18[s you have are 8 in wide and running just 1in drop should be decent.

) Now just to decide: Eibach Prokit or H-Techs?
