07 350z Engine info possibly G35?

Rumor says 315 HP/ 275 ft/lbs TQ for the VQ35HR...

The 2007 Nissan 350Z is scheduled to go on sale in January 2007. The changes for the new model year will include new exterior colors, a new gray colored convertible top (Roadster models), Active Head Restraints and performance enhancements including a new VQ35HR engine.

The 2007 350Z will again be available in Coupe and Roadster body styles and in an array of models – five for the Coupe, including a Grand Touring model, and three for the Roadster (including the Grand Touring automatic transmission version).

More information on the 2007 Nissan 350Z will be available at a later date

The Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. announced the name of the new 5th, generation “VQ”

Name of the new generation VQ engine, in case of 3.5 liters in aerodynamic volume displacement, becomes “VQ35HR”. “High revolution” (High Revolution) and “prominent accelerator response ” HR means(High Response)

NISSAN announced the following specifications:

- New design cylinder block. The rudder frame was added, rigidity was raised substantially.
- Left and right complete symmetrical inhalation and exhalation air system
- Decreasing the friction worldwide first hydrogen free DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) with coating.
- Setting electromagnetism VTC on exhaust cam side in addition to the oil pressure VTC of air inlet cam side.
- Isometric exhaust manifold

Nice tech info. But I believe this engine was mentioned in the new 07 G forum. I'd repost this into that thread so it's complete

if those #'s are right, u can expect the G sedan to be a hair under them

Probably no way that this would beat or even keep up with the current E46 M3? Would it?

Nope...I doubt this could even keep up with the upcoming BMW 335i

This new VQ can still tea bag a bimmer. That twin turbo 6 bmw is commin out with is lower on torque and horsepower. Just wait until someone boosts

u think we could use parts off of the VQ35HR on our motor, to get those numbers or not

its nice to see new engines.. bleh.. i love my car the way it is.. maybe ill trade mine after a couple years when the new ones are stable.. new cars = lotta problems.. although its covered under warranty.. its not hassel free.. =)
