I saw a g35 sedan with a cloth interior. I'm pretty sure it wasn't an early 03 since it had the current model trunk. I was under the impression you could only get an infiniti with leather interior.

04 Sedan. Obs. Black W/ Willow. Premium, Navigation, Sport Tuned. 35% Tint on sides, 20% back, Hyper-Ground kit and Stillen high flow on delivery.

 

The bare-bones, no-options, aboslutely-nada G comes with cloth. For those who want the sport, but not the "comfy" factor... you can save a couple bucks that way. I believe that in order to get any other package, you must first add leather. I'm not 100% sure of this, but for some reason I've got it stuck in my head.

Infiniti always (since the beginning of the G35) offered cloth.

When I got mine (March, 2000), the dealer even had a cloth with the sport option.

 

I'm one of the cloth guys. Actually the only option I wanted was leather and the dealership didn't have one without a sunroof(I'm around 6'9") so I got the cloth one. It is actually nice cloth but I think I am going to try and switch to leather when I find some seats local at the junkyard or someone comes out with a leather kit.

Hmmm.. ive never seen a cloth interior of a G... can you maybe take some pics?

 

The base model has willow cloth, 16" rims, and about the only options available are the aerodynamic body kit and the splash guards. (Well, sat radio now with '04.)

Their is not a cloth sport version.. perhaps it just had the body kit with the spoiler?

The sole purpose of the cloth version was to advertise "starting at $27,xxx" when it first came out. The '04 I think is just over 28k.

The only options available on the 2004 basesedan are:
Splash Guards $120; Trunk Mat with Standard Full-Size Spare $60; Aerodynamic Body Kit (With Spoiler) $2910; XM Satellite Radio $400; and SIRIUS Satellite Radio.

They've added for 2004, the 17" 6-spoke wheels and tire pressure monitors. One of the few "standard equip." deletes from the sedan leather are no power seats.

I assume the trunk mat is an option only on paper, as every car my dealership gets in has it.

Yep, I have about a 36-38" inseam so I am a lot of leg and just put the seat all the way back and then lean it a little bit for comfort. With the way I sit I have about an inch of headroom to spare without the sunroof. I also don't like being far off the ground that a SUV gives you since you don't end up being as connected to the road.

Also there are some people in the world that just don't like leather.

 

Those people don't have small children who spill milk. Spoiled milk stains in cloth does not a nice-smelling car make. Wipes right up off the leather, though. All kinds of things that wipe off the leather will embed themselves in or glue themselves to cloth seats. [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]

I have the bare bones g with willow cloth. The reason I chose that version and a little to do with the cost and a lot to do with the uncomfortable seat design in the leather. Luckily , my dealer let me drive the car with leather almost an hour at the end of which I knew my admittedly large *** was not in agreement with the power controls.
