Did Infiniti corp give you any sort of reference number or anything? My car is at the dealer right now, and they've replaced the clutch/throw-out bearing with no success, and have billed me $920. I believe it's the same whistling/howling noise you had. It happens only on cold starts, and it sounds like heavy wind blowing against your car causing a whistling, which eventually goes away after I drive about 5 or so miles. Did they give you anything that you wouldn't mind sharing with me so that when I talk to the service department on Monday I can say something like "well the same thing happened to a gentleman in Salt Lake City, and Infiniti corportate decided to replace his tranny via reference number...." Anything would help! I think my dealer is just taking shots in the dark with my money. PM me if you don't mind. Thanks!

LOL...BUMP

Yeah mine too. Your the first person to say whine instead of whistle.
Mine's whined since day one and now over 16K 1.5yrs old, still the same.
Kinnda sounds like a very mild SC whine.
No problems with shifting, but have lots of warranty left so I'm not worried about it until shifts start to grind.
