oh man this is comedy! tell me you guys bought memberships for GG that would be amazing.

anyone who would like to meet me & my friends and see my new car should PM ME. My old guitarists new band is playing a show in Hollywood tonight. it's free as long as you give me your name so I can put you on the guestlist. It's a small cozy dark venue with a full bar so its gonna be laid back fun.

I'd love to see some tricked out sedans lined up down sunset blvd tonight!

I live in Eugene, OR for work but I grew up in LA I just got back from LA yesterday. I was down there visitng the parents for the holidays. I will probably move back full time in a year or two. These days I make it down about 5 times a year. I am going to make a road trip soon when I get the time and the weather is better.

I didn't buy a membership for GG but I looked around the site a bit. I like what they are doing, the girls are much better looking than the suicide girls (those SGs are butch). Nice photography from what I was able to see without a membership.

PICS:

The center console is painted Desert Platinum to match body color.

Trunk, almost finished (procrastinating). Still needs to put lights behind the amps (they are raised on spacers) and then plexi over them.

Here's a pic of the box, it faces the back seat and fire inward to channel through the ski pass.

I love the Nismo bumper\staggered wheel set up. It really makes me miss my old car. along with your double din\eclipse nav. It's the best way to go!

Have you always faced your sub box forward? I usuallly face the cones of the speakers toward the rear of the car so they kick towards the passengers. What are your thoughts on that?

It really depends on how far you are willing to go to create great sound. If facing subs forward it is all about sealing. IMO the ideal set up is to have subs facing forward with perfect sealage to the back so that you stop sound from travelling back in the wrong direction leading to cancellation and out of phase base.

If facing subs back you are pretty much guarantteed cancellation and out of phase base to a small degree but still less than facing subs into the cabin with no sealage. However if your sealage is perfect to the back you can get the best sound facing forward.

( I AM SURE this will insight a rioteous argument )

Here is a post i made like a year ago about the same question:

if you fire into the cabin, some of the bass waves still travel to the back of the trunk then bounce back forward and come in out of phase with the rest of the bass. Something like 80% goes through and 20% bounces off the back of the trunk and comes in out of phase.

Some argue that if you fire into the trunk it bounces back in phase, but I think you will still get some bass coming around the box initially that never bounces off the back of the trunk and then you will be even more out of phase.

here's the thread it came from:
