Re: Front brakes being replaced under warranty
[i'm lazy so i'll copy what i posted in the coupe forum.]
today i received a letter from infiniti consumer affairs (note: i didn't call or email them). it had this part underlined...
"<font color=blue>infiniti is launching a program to provide brake maintenance (as detailed below) on your G35 sedan or automatic transmission equipped G35 coupe for 3 years from the original in-service date or 36,000 miles on your odometer, whichever occurs first, at no charge to you. this program is only available through an infiniti dealership.</font color=blue>"
it also included a postcard that you would send in if you had your rotors/brakes replaced (or rotors turned), giving you reimbursement for prior repair.
this morning, i brought my G in for rear brake squealing and my dealer replaced those pads free of charge (it was a TSB for '03). today was an awesome day for my G.
p.s. i am a <font color=red>US G35</font color=red>.

Re: Front brakes being replaced under warranty
Picked my car up from the dealership this evening for the seat rocking repair. My front brakes are at 40%. The service advisor mentioned the brake warranty, and I said I'd heard about it. "On the internet?" "Yup." Then he asked what I'd heard, as sometimes we get rumors that are a bit off. He was glad to hear that our information is correct this time.. it makes his job easier when customers come in expecting what he's capable of providing.

Re: Front brakes being replaced under warranty
I just got my "brake campaign letter" from INFINITI in the mail today! The letter is the same and on the bottom of it, it tells you what to do if you've already paid for your brakes and rotors! They ask for a copy of the invoice from the infiniti dealer that serviced it and a copy of your registration. You can either mail in the reply card or fax it to them. I had my brakes and rotors changed at 15K and was "what the F" and they still SQUEEEEEEK! I was just going to live with the squeek and brake dust...I was thinking about upgrading to "brembos" why they don't offer it for the sedans <sigh>? I'd pay extra for it...Oh well, gonna slam on my brakes a little harder before I bring it in..HEHEHEEE.....Now to fix my dash and center consol...It's going nuts it shuts down and turns back on after the car starts...Any ideas what the problem is?
