To me, this is clearly a FAULTY design for which Infinity should have recalled all G35, as opposed to just offering a 36k/3-year warranty (which I wasn't aware of).

In my 40 years of driving career, I have never heard of such a problem with any other car.

This is why I am consulting with my lawyer about initiating a Class Action suit against them. To be effective, and interesting for a law firm to pursue, I'll need to come up with as many complainants as possible, and the more the merrier.

Please contact me if you are as pss'd off as I am.

haha, you sir are also a f@g! Have fun trying to be the typical American!! *I can't afford this, hmmm...let me think!! AHHH!! Got it! I will sue infiniti of North America because i can't afford this and i need a quick penney*

You bought a sports car...the brakes are designed to stop faster, which means they were probably designed to wear twice as fast. Now you have to replace them and you can't afford it (or something..?) so you sue infiniti.

Have fun!

(( NOT DEFFECTIVE )) JUST NOT WHAT THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN ...

AutoZone Brakes Failure

I was in a accident in Dec 2010 that was caused by DuraLast Brake failure.
I had replaced the brake pads twice but still no braking power. The brakes would not bit down enough to stop my truck and i rear ended the car in front of me. I have found many complaint on internet message boards regarding these AuotZone Brakes. I am schedule for surgery and how to find others who were involve in accidents or near misses. Perhaps a Class Action Suit Is Needed.

uhh i had the duralast brakes on my g and those were some of the best brake pads i bought...sad to hear about your accident hope everything goes well.

as for this thread, for the 500 that the dealer charges just get 05-06 brakes and you will forget about your brakes, on the o3-04 brakes i went through pads at abot 3k miles and rotors at 15k miles, but i did alot of agressive driving and i would gladly change my pads for the stopping power i was getting, no joke if our brakes were designed to last and not stop i would be dead, several times over

There still hasn't been anyone who can empirically show that any pad is better than OEM for DD use. Our cars have spectacular brakes, among the very best in stopping distance (60-0 in 113 feet). To get much better, you have to spend 3x more on your car. They may wear out quickly, but for stopping distance, OEM brakes perform best with OEM pads. If you're going to track your car, you probably shouldn't use the OEM setup.

If your duralast brakes "failed," you installed them incorrectly. I worked at autozone for 3 years, and the only complaint I ever heard was from squeaking, which again is incorrect installation. did you re-use the old rotors? did you cross hatch the rotors with sandpaper to seat the new pads correctly? did you clean the machining oil off the rotors? Lube the pins and slides? list goes on and on. 85% of the issues you'll see are from user abuse, incorrect installation being one of them.

That being said, I'm still getting hawks for my car

Sorry, this is simply incorrect. Hawk pads have not been shown by anyone they work better than OEM. If you've got something that shows differently, by all means let us see it.

The challenge is that "work better" means different things to different people. It really depends on what is important to the owner -- quiet? low dust? low fade? long life? initial bite? low pedal pressure? stopping power proportional to pedal pressure?

There is no one pad that is "best" in all those categories.

as far as the 03 brakes, low dust and cold brake performance are exclusive from each other.

LOL @ the sports car excuse.

So I'm guessing the tire wear issues is also a "sport car" issue?

Even though Nissan admits there is something wrong with the 350z suspension causing premature tire wear.

Cupping and Feathering is not caused by "high performance". You really want to call a car with the same motor as a Maxima a "sports car?".

Nevertheless, Nissan obviously saw something wrong with the 03 Brembos, which is why they got rid of it.
