ok, now i am thinking it could be the cap

I jacked the car up, took the plastic cover off, and sat under the car while i turned it on and waited for coolant.

I could see no cracks, loose hoses, or anything, anywhere.

After about 5 mins, when the fans kicked in over drive, i finally saw it. It was comming from the very bottom of the radiator, between where the metal and plastic meets. It started flowing, i jumped up and looked at the car temp gauge, and it was about 3/4 of the way.

Is this the symptoms of the faulty rad cap?

Its almost as if there is to much pressure in the system, and once the heat gets up there, its leaking from the seems, during normal temps no leaking at all.

Seems like the rad cap, if not venting properly could cause heat and build up of pressure. Man i hope its just the rad cap.

Possibly a faulty radiator all together...i got a new one when i brought my car in for the same reason except i had no leak....i used to work for infiniti and we used to replace radiators all the time....they're crap...it should be covered under warranty once they see the problem. Dont let them just give you a radiator cap, make them give you a new radiator and cap and coolant...start fresh

Whatever you do..do not put that aftermarket radiator cap on that car...if you do that they will instantly void out your warranty and blame it on the aftermarket cap....trust me..they will try to find anything to keep them from having to do warranty work. Just take it in as it is..if you do not want to drive it..call infiniti roadside assistance..that's what i did and they towed me for free because the car was under warranty.

^^^+1 Do not buy an aftermarket cap!!! Yes if its coming from the seam then it is a radiator failure and there is no fixing it only replacing it (POS plastic rads) Sometimes a rad leak can look like its coming from one spot but you cant see it when it trickles down from another spot. MOst likely it is a failure at the seam. My chevy truck rad did this but it had 120,000 on the odo. I'm glad ur still under warrenty. You might want to mark your rad cap to make sure the dealer does not use the same cap when they replace you rad thats a no no

Like other said, check the radiator cap. Mine had some orange gunk inside of it. It caused the top radiator hose (coolant return) to decompress and collapse. After I cleaned it up, it is fine since.

I'm already out of basic warranty on my 04, but I bought mine in September 2003 It is why I took mine in for service just before it expired and had my seat fixed.

yep, looks like it was just a bad radiator

Dropped it off monday morning, picked it up tuesday afternoon all covered under warranty.

They didnt have any loaner cars to give me, but they did drive me home, to get myother car, and did the same when i picked it up.

Really great service, i was very impressed.

My car is back to normal now and i love it!
