Quote: Does any one know of a aftermarket y pipe that will work with a coupe mid pipe? How big is the outlet 2.5 or 3.0 on the stock y pipes? if i cant find an after market y pipe that will work with the coupe mid pipe im gona be really bumed cause i just ordered megan test pipes, and a coupe mid, but i dont wana spent any money on somthin i dont need and i figure might as well replace the y to while im down there to finish off the whole set up.

Sorry for my lazynes just got off work i know i can find it in this thread some where.
The most popular Y pipes are the OEM HR Y pipe from an 07+ 350z or the M2 Y pipe. Both will fit

Z-Tube, K&N, Plenum Spacer, Coupe Midpipe, Stock 03 Muffler with Fatboy Tips. Right before the HR Y-Pipe installation. Couldn't embed the videos for some reason.

i have a rwd sedan and need help i did a ghetto cat delete mod by cutting them out and just welding piping in place and didnt know it would sound so horrible so now to fix i plan on getting the megan racing resonated test pipes and the m2 HR y pipe and keep my stock mid pipe and muffler cause im saving for the tanabe medalion. Would these work with my stock midpipe and muffler and would they work when i get the tanabe in the future?

I just added the Borla cat back system to my 03 sedan. I love it. It's not too loud but it opens up when you hit higher rpms. Gives a nice slight tone when driving normal as well.

Does anyone know the part # for the magnaflow resonator (pre-muffler) from the list on the first page?

06 Sedan - OEM resonator removed - Magnaflow pre-muffler installed
http://youtu.be/7Re8JAKmCWE

The resonator was removed by the first owner of my 06 g35x and I have been looking into finding a cheap way to make it sound better. If someone could give me a part # or point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Any of the smaller "glasspack" type or straight through race-mufflers will work. Since you have an 06 with the larger stock muffler, I would go with an 8-12 inch muffler. The guys with the smaller 03-04 mufflers run larger 14-18 inch resonators.
