Hey Tim. Got something that might be worth adding. My 03.0 sedan does not have TPMS, so 03.0 people don't have to worry about it.

Also, are you going to add the new body stuff coming out?

Looked through all pages of this thread, haven't found an answer.

Does anyone know the difference between 03-05 Sedan Sport struts and 06 Sedan struts? I know that springs changed, and 03 sport struts are red. More importantly - can 06 sedan struts be installed on 03 sedan with sport suspension, and what will the affect be? - also, will I need to install 06 springs as well?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know the answer to the actual differences in the struts. I believe the valving is stiffer on the sport struts and yes, they are red.

They can be installed on any 03-06. Worst case the valving is a little softer so you will loose a bit of performance. Either way they are not that different. You have to go aftermarket or 350Z sport to get good performing struts.

Q - Can the door moldings be removed?
Yes, but be aware that there are holes under the moldings. The moldings themselves are held on with double sided tape and "pins" that go inside the holes in the door to keep them straight / in place. So these holes will need to be welded up and re-painted.
are you saying that i can take off the chrome moldings around my windows/doors and just fill in the holes instead of painting the moldings? and it will still look good?

^ I think that's talking about the ones that run down the side of the car, halfway of the door.

Anything currently on the market that fits the coupe or 350Z will also fit the RWD sedan. BUT, if it is not sedan specific be aware that anything from the 350Z will lower the sedan 1" more and coupe parts will lower the sedan 0.5" more than they list. The stock Z springs will lower the sedan ~1" and the stock coupe springs will lower the sedan ~0.5".
just wanted to be 100% sure here before i spend the moneys.

according to this quote, if i go and buy 2003 350z 1" lowered springs and put them in my 2003 35sedan it will lower the car 2" ???

is this due to the extra weight of the sedans??? or something to do with the suspension items?? (arms etc..)

thanks

i think the math goes that 350z springs are 1" shorter than G35 sedan springs to begin with, and you're getting 1" lowered on top of that.

If you buy 1" lowering Z springs the sedan will sit a little over 2" lower. The weight difference isn't much but is there so figure on another 0.1-0.2" to be safe.

I think he’s asking if it’s the height difference is due to that actual suspension parts or is the sedan heavier therefore compressing Z suspension further.

GeNOS – the answer is the Z components (shocks/struts and springs) are actually shorter than the OEM sedan – so generally add an inch lower to whatever it does for a Z.

Agreed
I just wanted to add that the additional weight of the sedan will also reflect on the final height. If it were my math I would plan on a 1" Z spring lowering the sedan 2.1".

ok cheers for that.. it wont cause any damage to the sedan struts by having such a short spring in them??? are they still under pressure when the 350 springs are in the strut (out of the car) or is there 1" of slack until there loaded up (in the car) ??

im assuming the coupe struts are the half inch shorter to the sedans, like the 350 is 1" shorter??

if you are using Z springs, you should use Z (size) shocks/struts...
