How much gas does your G drink?

wait until spring/summer to get an accurate gauge of usage. winter driving will net worse mileage than spring or summer due to numerous variables: warm-up time, electrical load, fan use, defroster, wet/snowy roads, etc...
i normally fuel up after ~500-520kms on a tank @ low 60L fills (the tank is 76L). in the winter this drops to ~460-490kms per ~60L fill in the city. mine is a 6mt. i assume your mainly city driven?
aside from that, if you're already soft on the pedal, make sure your G is in good tune, clean air filter.

as said, don't gauge by winter driving, i'm going though about a tank per week, (though i did get a week and a half out of a tank when there was no snow). driving habits have a lot to do with it. i used to get better mileage out of a 4.6 v8, (here i thought i'd do better with a smaller car and engine), on the highway anyways.
are there any shorter gears for the diff? i see peeps putting taller gears in (4.10s or so, right?), given that stock is already in the high 3's, maybe a lower 3 to high 2 rear would help, (kill your acceleration though, it's a trade off).
