I can't tell from the pics, but make sure your AC line isn't rubbing against the intake tube.

Somebody who's into halo rings calls me rice? Listen, I didn't do it for the looks, or the sound, even though I like both. I did it cause it was cheap, and gave me a little extra juice when I go up against my buddy who has full exhaust, injen intake, md spacer, and a timing bump. As the money comes in I will be doing more, but I am happy with the intake, and don't see any reason to change it. I heard there was some riceism around here, but I never felt it until now. Sniff, sniff.......

Who said I was into angel rings? I despise them, just because I install them for customers, doesn't mean I'm into them.

And if you think an intake, and your muffler gave you gains... Try removing that 30lb suitcase (mid pipe) underneath your car first before you start welding eBay mufflers to it thinking it gave you any gains.

O.K.........

Yah, I'm sure a free flowing intake and exhaust won't do a thing......

B.T.W. - as stated several times before - lightweight 3" stainless on the way.

LOL ok. Have fun with your G35.

Edit: Oh gawd... I'm sorry, I have to post this.

I'm sure that FIREBALL muffler gives you amazing gains for a whooping total of $28.98

what's the diff between a guy doing his own mods, and figuring stuff out... and the world 20 years ago when you had to make anything you wanted for your ride because there was nothing out there. What do you think all these shops and garages do when something new comes out. They experiment.

You all should have been here with us in the beginning when ANY shop, MFGr or garage would look at our sedans and say...

Props man... it's just a car. Play with them, break them, fix them, experiment with them, and some times have to fix them again!

Cheers, Ted

HEY! I made my own intake. Although I'd never buy a coffee can on ebay IMO.
I only spent $90 on mine and it turned out great. I say the money I saved was well worth the time I spent on it. I miss my honda days! Its where I learn how to roll my fenders with a baseball bat and a hair blowdryer!

Heres a pic of my intake:

I got more pictures on my car domain profile:

^^This guy speaks the truth

Lay off the guy
OP You got more courage than most on here. Most guys would be scared to do that kind of experimenting
Happy modding and welcome to the forums

good job trying something new, i think if you slapped a coat of paint (or powdercoat) on it, it would make it look nicer and far more expensive than it really is

Despite what a lot of people think, the Intake is a very simple design and I dont see how spending the $200-300 that we spent makes much more of a difference than what you did.

Who know about the exhaust, but the muffler is very restrictive so its possible it freed up a couple ponies. Get rid of that heavy midpipe though

Wow I can't believe some of the rude remarks in this thread. His intake looks pretty functional and also looks to be solidly put together. As for X-vert, the price of the parts doesn't necessarily dictate the performance. Some things shouldn't be skimped on if they're going to be done, but I don't see what's wrong with this guy's intake.

I also DIY'd my Mac Mini into the dash, my headrest screens, touchscreen, Tint, etc. Why hate on someone for doing it themselves?
