how can it not add any power when air is being rushed directly into the throttle body without any bypass and less restriction?

Been sitting right around 19/20 since I bought the car 4 years ago. Heavy foot will suck me down to 16.
Question:
On my X if I pull the AWD fuse will I get better gas milage?
What about shutting off VDC on all models?

On a recent round trip that covered about 2300 kilometers the AT sedan got a little over 27 mpg driving the speed limit which was usually either 90, 100 or 110 kph. The cruise control was used as much as possible. Whenever the air conditioning was running it was in economy mode. I had the windows open on the 90 kph stretches of road.
Edit: turns out that the ~27 mpg is imperial miles to the gallon. Rats, it's more like 23 US mpg

I think ~55MPH is where it becomes more economical to run the AC because of wind resistance. Either way, who cares about 1 MPG? I'm not driving in Tampa sun without AC. I can afford the gas.Originally Posted by Woblin_Goblin

I took a trip to LA from Phoenix last week, I got about 360 miles before I refuled and that was with the gas light on for like 15 miles. Average speed throughout the whole trip I would say was about 82 or so, ran the A/C for like 3/4 of the trip. How many gallons does the car hold? I have an 03 sedan.
Note: all of it was highway miles

2Nice..I have a 2005 X and I am getting about 20 mpg. I think you need to get the your X checked out. 13.8 is really low.

Not sure. I never let it go down that far and filled up when I could. I just calculated it by the amount I filled up and the miles since the last time...My G35 doesn't have a computer.Originally Posted by TOYSTA
