i found another car... well actually i found one that sold before i got there

it was a 04x, nismo, DG on black. prem. with 51k miles clean car and they wanted 16.5 OTD. that car sold yesterday as i was going to go today to get the car.

he told me there was another one.

http://www.ecarlist.com/showroom/1314/photos/132610

its a 04x DP( is that beige) on TAN! with nismo prem and navi. it has 53k miles and warranty till next month. it listed for more 1.3k more on the site but he would give it to me for the same 16.5 OTD. or roughly 15k for the car.

i'm not exactly sure what to make of the car. i was only looking for a prem and nismo was just a bonus. i had plans on getting a DD radio with built in navi or get a garmin unit. this car just kind of fell into my laps right now. not 100% what to make of the car untill i see it. and they are about an hour away from me.

hows the car look? to me it looks like all the panels lines up pretty well. the carfax showed up clean with 6 hits being 1 owner from michigan. I do want to change the carpet on the car from beige to black and put all seasons in there for chicago winters and possible put in driver's coupe seat pending on me reading up how many spacers i need.

That looks real nice.
Yeah, DP is a metallic beige. I never thought much of it in pics, but in person its actually a very nice color.
Miles are a bit high for my taste, but the price seems good. Actually seems really good considering the nav and body kit. Is this an Infiniti dealer? May want to have it checked out by a pro just in case. Carfax is not reliable.

carfax is the last thing i go with but thats better then nothing. i only use carfax to see where its been.this one has been in michigan its whole life.

miles are right where i like them. 60k, like i said i can careless about the navi, and i perfer black interior.

if anyone has replaced the carpet to black let me know the cost of the carpet.

thats a nice find Of cour'se I'm biased to DP since i have DP.

it has both keys, + valet, clean interior + exterior..nismo....I think you should definitely jump on it given that you give the mechanical aspects a test and try to feel the condition of the suspension.

Looks like the car is located near Milwaukee, WI at S&S towing. If its the S&S I know than they can have some decent cars. My knowledge of them is a few years old as they bought alot of cars from local dealerships that needed some simple bodywork and they would fix them and sell em on there own lot. Now this may not be true for this car. That is just what I know.

its not in WI, its a burb about 60-90 mins away from my place.

they buy plenty of auction cars. i noticed that when i run the carfax on a couple of their cars. They normally do high end stuff. benz, audi RS4 and etc. they had like 6 g35's variations. X, coupes, sedans. all autos. new and olders. they have a 2 bay garage. one to store higher end cars and one to work on them. they dont have a lift as far as i saw so i dont think they do major work. Just panel replacements.

i'm still debating on the car color. i can live with tan seats, just not the carpet. i'll pull it out for a black pending a price of 150$ or under. with the navi i'm a little confused on if i wanted to keep the stock radio or not now. i'll be going out sometime this week

That is a nice find. To be honest with you, I like that tan color (plus you don't see a lot of those on the road). IMO, it would not be worth it to change the carpet. The interior would look horrible with tan seats and black carpet.

i personally don't think it would be much noticeable. because i have a black on black 4th gen maxima right now and i had red floor mats, and well aside from me noticing. no one else noticed.

i just have to go see this color. the pictures alone make it seem like one angle its silver and the next its 100% champagne like.

i'm going back and forth with this idea.

DP is a great color! to this day (4 years after i got my car), I still get people that tell me "I thought your car was silver! Now it looks tanish!"

I tell them, well it is, depends on what light you see it under

with the city of chicago pretty much covered with random floodings i ahven't been able to do anything.

I still dont know what exactly color is that car. gold or silver. yea the angle and lighting plays a big role in what color the car is actually.

This car will have to wait a little bit.

i passed that car up,

i almost done finishing the final details on this other car, i came to realize if i dont get the exact color combo i want i will hate the car no matter what happens. i dont care if i put TT snails on it, i would still hate the color.

The car i'm looking at right now and just need to work out minor stuff is 05 DG/black 40k miles and prem. overall car is clean, its not a very MINT car, looks like 2 rock chips on the drivers fender, interior trim has come common very day scuffs that i have on my car, 1 scuff on the upper glove box where the dvd unit would go, 1 on the radio trim but since i'm planning on going DD unit, it should be replaced. overall car drove nice, button layout was all diffrent compared to the 04.

i assume since i didn't ask if the car still had warranty but it should be under 5/60 right, all this for 17.5 OTD which would be exactly what i wanted to pay for the EXACT car of my likings.

yeah.

op, remember these guys make more money on used than they do on new cars. They lowball trades and markup for retail. There are plenty of Gs for sale. Stand your ground on your price, if he doesn't budge, give him your number and tell him to call you within the next 2-3wks (your time frame for pulling the trigger on another G). Walk out, they don't have the only pre-owned G for sale They can't make top dollar on every car they sell, fawk em.
