Exactly what kind of constructive reply were you looking for on your inane thread? Perhaps something like "You're absolutely right! The older g's are the awesomest cars ever!". Grow up and get your panties unbunched. The topic has been beat to death for both the sedan and the coupe.
I wasn't specifically looking for anyone to agree or disagree with me. I welcome opinions on both sides. I also never stated that my car was better than anyone's. I merely professed to like mine better. Since you have owned three G's it seems you could have easily posted your opinion on the cars, but you chose not to. If you don't like the topic of a post, the easiest way to avoid involvement in it is to simply ignore it. Somehow I doubt you'll take the advice to heart.

My impressions on the two are pretty easy to state...

The 2nd get is a vastly superior car. However, it lacks the heart and soul of the 1st gen. The 2nd gen is more of a mass market car; the 1st gen was a sporty car with luxury thrown in, while the second is a luxury car with sporty thrown in.

I did not like the G37 AT ALL when I first drove it. I knew it was faster, nicer inside, and safer, but I didn't like the relative lack of feel/feedback compared to the 1st gen.

I think this sums up my feelings pretty well. When I was driving the '07 I felt very disconnected from the road. I knew what I was doing was making the car move, but I couldn't feel it, there was very little feedback. Some people might love this and call it a great ride. I, however, prefer to feel the road. That's just my personal preference.
