Battery Problems! Help!
Ok, my 2003 Infinity G35 sedan won't start. At first, I thought we needed a new battery. Got a brand new battery. Then a week later it started to do the same thing. It jump starts though. So, some days it makes the click click click noise and some days no noise.
Took it to dealership. Since it jumps they said it was not starter or alternator. They had suspected it was the remote car start (we never ever use it) and it was draining the battery. The had the car for 3 days and could not figure it out. Of course!
It used to be that if I drove it every day it was fine but if I didn't drive for 1 day it would not start. Now if I drive it at night it won't start in the moning ....aka getting worse.
Whatever is happening something is draining the battery. And for the person I know will ask this...I don't leave my lights on, doors open or anything like that.

Just because you don't use it, doesn't mean it's not malfunctioning or causing a problem... If possible can you disconnect/uninstall the remote start system? I'm not sure if it's linked to an alarm system you might run into problems though...
I suspect there may be a draw in the system somewhere and that's causing the battery to drain, the hard part is trying to find it. If it's caused by an aftermarket system, the warranty won't cover the diagnostic time and you're looking at paying some $$$'s for the techs time.

I'm having the same problem with my 03 sedan. Someone suggested that it's the radio draining the battery. Take the fuse for the radio out, it's located by the battery under the hood. If that stops the draining then you know what the problem is. I'm testing that theory out now and will let you know how it works out.
If I were you don't take it to the dealer take it to a electrical specialty shop. They are much better at diagnosing electrical problems than the stealership.

The fuse for the radio that is located under the hood actually requires you to remove the battery cover and the plactic covering the battery bay. Just grab a flat head screw driver and pry the 5 pannel clips and it comes right up. The fuse box is right in front of the battery. If I remember correctly it's the third fuse from the right on the bottom row (15A).
