Compression Rod Replacement

Hello,

I went to the dealer a couple of weeks ago to get the squeek noise in the front checked out. They found that the compression rod bushings were cracked and replaced just the bushings under warranty. The car was drove for a couple of weeks and now the noise is starting to come back. I don't know if it is the cold weather here (32 F) or if the bushings are starting to go bad again.

I found a lot of people were having issues with the compression rod bushings. Question: When the dealer worked on your cars, did they change just the bushings or the whole compression rod? Is there any change to the new compression rod design? This is for an '05 G35 with sports suspension. Just wanted to know what your results were. Thanks.

In my case the entire rods were replaced. If the problem comes back though, I'll just be swapping out the bushings.

Does this sound that you guys are talking about sound like struts squeaking? I've had this for a while but thought it was because it was cold. What happens if it doesn't get fixed? I have 2 months left on my 4 yr warranty, and about 13,000 miles

The first time they lubed the bushings. When I complained a week later they looked at it and said they ordered parts to fix it. That was a week ago so they should be calling anytime to schedule it up.....

Anyone know the TSB# off the top of their head. My front end sounds terrible and my warranty runs out in Feb. I plan to get this fixed in Jan. and I want to be armed with the info to get them to take care of it the first time as opposed to having to go back multiple times. Thanks.

Not of the top of my head but go to infinitihelp.com and create a membership. You will be able to look up all TSB's for any Infiniti.
