When you click down a gear, the computer increases the throttle by blipping it up so that you don't feel it an it's smooth. As far as I know, they was an 05+ feature.

When i downshift, I was doing it around 2000RPM and it would blip up to maybe 3500 or so and you really don't feel the shift.

I chose an X so MM is the only way to go. I too have a bum knee but the real reason is when I go turbo in the Spring, it will always be in boost.
I miss a manual but the rev matching is fun and it will prevent more knee surgery in the near future.
