width, offset and camber affect fitment way more than diameter. you could fit 22's on this car with the right width, offset and camber.

I understand that. My 19"s r only 8.5 width in the back. Thats not wide at all. Who would want 20"s with a width of 8 or below? IMO that would look funny. Also for daily driver no1 wants camber wear. So while you may be able to fit 22"s, it would not b very practical. I just wish i cud figure out a way to not rub while remaining practical as my G is my DD

^ just because you dont like em doesnt mean they dont look good, it just mean it's not your taste. You said "20s in chrome never look good." @ Colinhuemmer. You could take a 9"wide rim and if the offset is alot lower than the 8.5" wide rim the 8.5" will be the one rubbing.

Car Mods Advice

Hey guys,

I just got a 2003 G35 sedan and was wondering what you guys think I should do first to it?

I was thinking about putting either a SRI or CAI on it, but unsure about which one I should do. Any suggestions???

I'm also not a car expert. I can do the basics, but not too experienced.

neither.. go with a z tube and a K&N drop in filter and call it good.

on another note, im glad you all got a good laugh at my noobiness to offsets. I fixed the rubbing issue for the most part (only rub when i have two huge fat chicks in the back)

Ride Quality

What mods will improve ride quality? What will make ride quality worse? Bigger wheels? Lowering it?

better quality tires will improve ride quality, if ur dropped on oem shocks some comfort coils will help & make it less bouncy.

Shitty tires/bigger wheels/low pro tires/lowering on springs or track coils or shocks make it stiffer and less comfertable.

Hey Guys,

I just got an 06 G35 sedan 6MT. I've been doing some reading and want to list out the mods I'm thinking about doing. I need to sell some parts from my old car first so I'll be taking it slow. Let me know what you think. They're not in any particular order.

intake - K&N drop-in and Z tube
aluminum pedals
rear spoiler
sway bars

Because my car has the rev-up engine, I believe the spacer won't add anything by itself. Can I get some gains from a non-rev-up lower plenum (or Mrev2) and a spacer?

Exhaust - I haven't looked under the car yet. My last car got too loud the older I got. I'd like some performance without much more noise than stock and/or droning. Locally there is an 06 350z y-pipe for sale. Will that give me any gains? I've read the 06 midpipe is ok.

Let me know if I'm on the right track.
